Jacmel Haiti Destroyed By Fire, September 1896
The town center of Jacmel Haiti was destroyed by a huge fire in 1896. The great Jacmel fire burned from September 19-21, 1896.
One article suggest that the fire broke out in the house of a citizen named Tibulle MAXIMILIEN in Bel-Air, Jacmel Haiti.
Afer the fire, Haitian president Tiresias Simon Sam gave the citizens of Jacmel a credit and an incentive to rebuild the city.
