Here is a picture of the statue of Jean Baptiste Pointe DuSable, vandalized, its eyes painted black the weekend of 17 Jan 2015.

the satue was donated to the City of Chicago by Haitian-born Lesley Benodin to honor the legacy of Chicago's founder.

The bust of Dusable is at the near the Michigan Ave Bridge, now Dusable Bridge, close to the Site of Pointe DuSable's House, designated a National Historic Landmark in 1977
