Here is some info about Beyonce, her Creole heritage, and her link to Haiti from Answers.com

Beyonce's parents decided on her first name as a tribute to her mother's maiden name.

Beyonce's maternal grandparents, Lumis Albert Beyince and Agnez Dereon, were French-speaking Louisiana Creoles who are also from Haiti.

Her mother born here did not learn creole and did not teach it to Beyonce, a lot of people do that to their kids.

In the 60s Beyonce's grandmother did not think it was cool to teach her daughter creole since it was not cool to be associated with Haitian back then.

Beyonce explains it herself in the video, watch it now:

I love her dearly but SHE'S A FAT LIAR. She said on Tyra Banks that she grew up with her mother speaking creole.

She told the Haitian interviewer that in the 60's people didn't like Haitians, therefore, she didn't learn it, but her aunts, uncles & cousins speak creole.

When the interviewer told her sak passe, she acted like she had no idea what the man said. When you grow up around people speaking it you understand it ...

Don't hate on Beyonce. She says that she's creole it means that her mother is from louisiana, if you know the history you'll understand most of them are originated from Haiti, the french took them to louisiana, the americans bought them with the state so they remain there.

So now they call them creole because of their Haitien heritage.what she doing is call entertainment its something that we need in our contry to be competitive with others so we can build our economy.
