Haitian Migration to Chile

Lots of Haitians migrated to Chile, a long, narrow country stretching along South America's western edge, looking for new opportunities. Some say nearly 1 percent of the Haitian population left and migrated to Chile.

Look at this photo... Haitian-Chillean Jean Beausejour (#15) is happy after scoring a goal for Chile in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

This goal wrote Beausejour's name into the history books as the first Chilean to score in two different FIFA World Cup tournaments, having scored in the opening game of South Africa 2010 too.
