Petition for CapHaitian

Mr. Gauthier Saintilus - May 9 2007, 4:48 PM

Oh Cap-Haitian! You are the favorite Town of my homeland.

What is hapeening to you today?

You are mistreated then ever. Now, it is time to stand up and work diligently for development.

In spite of all the difficulties you endured for decades, I believe that when all Capois get together with their noble ideas of development, you shall overcome.

We need to put in evidence these new ideas to develop our Country and advance with the World of Technology.

Briefly, two hundred years ago, our ancestors fought against the Colon and freed us from slavery.

Since, then we became one Black Nation, dwelling on our homeland "Ayiti kiskeya ou Boyho/Republic of Haiti" Soon after independence, it was called "Pearl of the Antilles", indeed it was an agricultural Country.

Today, it is classified as one of the pooerest Country in the Western Hemisphere.

Nevertheless, it is never too late to do the right things.

We need to motivate each other in all sectors in the communities, regional, and national to work together for development.

What ought we to do?

Well, in this matter, I am the motor of this movement and willing to motivate people who have good visions to develop my Country.

Each authentic Haitian should use his/her expertise collectively toward development.

Here are two of my visions:

1) First, I earned a Bachelor Degree in Visual Arts. I would like to use my interpersonal skills and erect a Technical or Visual Arts School in Cap-Haitian.

An Art Gallery within the school campus would be available to exhibit the works of the students.

Certes, through the school years, prospective visitors could purchase the students' work so that they would be known and successful in their career.

2) Second, I would like to integrate also a Museum in Cap-Haitian to preserve our National and Historical Artifacts.

Both of these institutions could help promote jobs, implement educational resources, and encourage our creative artist to pursue their professions.

My interest in helping develop Cap-Haitian is that I remember the prosperity of the tourist trade in Cap-Haitian in the years of the sixties and seventies; therefore, I encourage all Haitians, specially the Northern Citizens the Limbeens, and the Capois to work together and make this dream a reality.

In this endeavor, I need your advice.

Tell me whatever you think is needed for Cap-Haitian.

Thank you for your support and taking the time to read my letter.
