What a challenge

.Dear All:

How about some good news, really good news, I mean great news and making history again that you can be a part of.

Bob Kunst, International Gay and Jewish Activist,, who, along with Drs. Alan Rockway and Melodie Moorhead, created and led opposition to Anita Bryant and Jerry Falwell, in 5 elections and victories, that trail blazed the world famous 'Affectional and sexual preference' ordinance, that made and changed history and made Dade County the 'Holy Land' of Gay/Bi/Hetero Rights and Freedoms, locally, nationally and internationally.

We made our issue, everyone's issue, from the White House on down. We got millions out of their closets, helped form thousands of groups, saved countless lives and took over the media as 'role models' of the alternatives, for the emotional and sexual liberation of all of us, in this highly visible and non-violent revolution.

No small undertaking.

Bob, also discovered 'Trinidad Carnival', 26 years in a row and has played 'mas' in costume 226 times over the last 30 years and produced two on Miami Beach.

He also won 4 trophies including First place for 'individual costume' at Miami Carnival, but Bob's love of the culture, the music and pure enjoyment took him to Carnivals in London, Toronto, New York, Boston, D.C., Baltimore, Atlanta, Orlando and many other venues.

"When I need to renew my energy and the Soca dancing and all the great people who participate, 'Carnival' is an answer, all of us should be a part of."

While many Gays participate in 'carnival', it isn't talked about and here is that opportunity to make history again and break through this issue as well.

Bob went to the exceptional Gay Pride folks in Ft. Lauderdale and suggested bringing these two party groups together.

With all the stress, politics, divisions, etc. what better opportunity to dance it off and learn from each other and share the culture and so it is happening.

Miami Carnival is happening in early October and the only one in the country because of Covid..

Fantasy Fest in Key West, the parade has been canceled because of Covid and we always had a huge Trini and Caribbean contingent in that parade.

But luckily, on Nov. 20, 2021, we'll have another opportunity to have a super time on the weekend before Thanksgiving.

We'll be the last contingent in this 1.3 mile parade and then have a Caribbean Beach Party as part of Gay Pride, so get your costumes out and show your colors and flags and make this the start of your holiday season and this break through, as a model for all the other carnivals and Pride events.

Pride's theme is "Glitter and Gratitude" and don't we know and appreciate this consciousness for Pride and 'Trini Carnival'..

South Florida, has always been special and we're doing "Unity In The Community" again, so make plans to be a part of this wonderful event and spread the word to everyone you know who would like to 'party' and we sure do need to 'party

Broward Gay Pride is Sat., Nov. 20, 2021 and the theme is: "GLITTER AND GRATITUDE"

We can play music and dance at 10 AM and the parade itself starts at 11 AM from Riomar and Breakers Ave, 1 mile North of Las Olas. and finishes at 1 P.M. and we are the last contingent and we have a corner spot at the Beach fest taking place to play till 6 P.M.

There is no parade on Sunday, but we are negotiating to play on Sunday at the same spot.

Making history and bringing together two groups that like to' party' and with all the stress on Covid and everything else, a great opportunity, a week before Thanksgiving and it's getting cold already up North, to make this event happen and promote it annually, as a must to be at and play 'mas' at and enjoy ourselves.

I hope you'll consider putting your energy into this.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Yours Faithfully,

Bob Kunst
