In this photo, a young Pouchon Duverger stands with the fire of a frontman on the rise--long before the split, long before the fame reached its peak. This was during the golden years of Djakout Mizik (1997-2010), a time when Pouchon's voice helped shape the sound of modern Konpa and give the band its unforgettable energy.
From hits like "Samfew?" and "Biznis Pam" to dancefloor staples like "Mannigueta," "Pwoblem," and "Foli Lanmou," Pouchon became the heartbeat of Djakout's identity--equal parts soulful and electrifying.
In 2010, a major shift took place. The band rebranded as Djakout #1 when key musicians, including Pouchon, took control of the group to manage their own destiny. It was a bold move--one that spoke volumes about leadership, ownership, and vision in the Haitian music industry.
Looking back at this photo now, you see more than just a young artist--you see the beginning of a journey that would help define a generation of Konpa fans.
