Haiti Bridges

Look at this photo... Ancien pont de thomonde, Thomonde Haiti.

This is the old Thomonde iron bridge over the thomonde river in central Haiti, built back in the days before Haiti's National Highway #3 (Route Natinale 3) was paved.

Although a new bridge was built, this old bridge is still left standing. we believe it is still in use by pedestrians and people on horseback.

Haiti's Road Network - Highways and Bridges

Haiti has eight highways numbered 1 through 8. This is Highway #3 or Route Nationale 3 (RN-3).

When Haiti's national Highway #3 was paved, a new bridge was build over the Thomonde river (Rivière Thomonde) in central, Haiti.

Sitting right next to the new bridge is the old thomonde iron bridge from the old dirt Rd.
