Actually, many of the creoles of Louisianna ARE of Haitian descent.

They have only been in Louisianna for approximately 4 generations and YES Beyonce's family descened directly from them. (I read that somewhere on yahoo!) I know that today's creoles of Louisianna are NOT aware of and thus NOT proud of their haitian roots.

But if you go to Frenchcreoles.com you would see that we do share a heritage.
